About
Heather Reilly Hiemstra was thirty-seven when doctors removed a fist-sized tumor from her colon and referred her to chemotherapy — as with most cancer patients. Holding her nine-month-old son for the first time after surgery, she declined.
Coming from a family of doctors herself, she was determined to do the best possible thing for her son’s health — continue breastfeeding. That decision began a twenty-year journey through plant medicine, endocannabinoid research, certification as a menopause coach, and the founding of Rockstar Blends: 100% plant-based topicals that give women another option to support their healthspan through menstruation, menopause and beyond.
On stage, Heather is a trained performer (NYU Tisch, National Shakespeare Conservatory) with a working actor’s resume. She holds a room the way people who love an audience do — funny, direct, science-forward. She is the host of GenX Hits Menopause on the Mission Matters podcast network.
